"I felt like I was distant and detached from my spiritual practices and caught up in a
negative spiral of the worlds hype. I was reading the daily news and endlessly
scrolling on fb absorbing rubbish that was painting a negative view of the world,
causing soul damage. That is not who I am, not who I want to become. I felt as
though I was drowning in it, like it was swallowing me up.

I felt like the rescuer without clear boundaries and no nourishment left for me. The
dutiful one, the responsible one, the selfless one. Always there for everyone but not
always showing up for myself."

"I know Shannon to be a competent, compassionate, kind, intelligent, spiritually
minded professional. I knew she would have interesting content to offer and I felt
excited. I love knowledge. Her depth of knowing and intuition is a unique gift and I

I was also drawn to the idea of the freedom and magic of what the land sounded like/
looked like online. I liked the idea of no phone reception, and I loved the idea of
being nurtured by a professional chef. Food speaks many languages and creates a
variety of taste sensations that enhance different emotions as well as creating
memories. Being served instead of serving sounded enticing."

"I cannot single out one experience, I felt like everything combined to create many
breakthroughs.

• Getting into the womb pool was huge for me. I was worried about my mobility, and I felt the spirits of the land holding me, telling me it would be ok. I could not believe I got out without huge effort. I felt completely safe and held. It was a physical victory supported by a spiritual holding.
• I loved the healing music Shannon played continuously in the background; it was soothing and touched the soul. I felt it was an important part of breakthroughs.
• The mirror process was a huge shock to me. I was unaware of my attitude towards myself and aging.
• I was so moved and humbled by the tea ceremony. It truly was amazing. It created the space for everything to combine in my mind and knowing."

"I loved the gift of the journals. It was great to record experiences and feelings. I
felt that was important.

I found the tarot cards helpful. It was confirmation that Shannon was in tune with
me/us. They clarified a lot. I am visual so they spoke to me.

Shannon was very present to individuals as well as the group. She challenged,
held, listened, maintained eye contact, showed compassion and held my tears of
sadness and those of joy. She made a safe space and sat in the place of
acceptance without judgement.

I liked the clear group boundaries of respect she created. That was important for
my transformation. At times Shannon named things that I was describing, like a
summing up. It was an acknowledgement of “I hear and understand you”.

It was very easy to say “yes: or “no”.
It was respectful therapy, self-paced and I was given choices as well as
challenges."

Emotionally: I was brought to tears with a combination of humility and love by
reconnecting with myself through the experiences. It made me look at my lack of
boundaries and my unconditional time giving to others without respect for my own
space and time. I realised that I was pushing myself too hard. Too much giving
and not enough self-nurturing.

Mentality: I was able to quieten my mind. I had chattering monkeys for too long. I
felt safe in the space which was a wonderful knowing. No fear of theft or attacks
or witnessing harm to animals. A loving space that calmed my mind. I came back
into my meditations gracefully.

Spiritually: Not having contact with the outside world was wonderful. The magic
of the land itself was powerful for me, I felt like I was flying at times. The sound of
the rain and thunder was powerful and reminded me that nature just is. It was
wonderful to sit in it and experience it. I reconnected. I felt held, safe and
respected by the spirits of the land.

Identify: I was identifying as “under contract” to provide for everyone who
needed help. I was saying it was part of my personality and Shannon reminded
me that our personalities are created. I am now talking to that part of me and
reminding myself that I have a choice. It is free will.

"I feel as though I have broken through a solid glass ball that was keeping me
from my self and my spiritual needs. I know there is more to break through and
things are dropping in daily, messages, knowing’s and confirmations. At times I
am taken back to childhood or a place where I felt wounded. The messages are
challenging me, questing my understanding of the reality."

"I have not stopped talking about the retreat. I have explained that I have not
experienced anything like it and it was difficult to articulate the depth of healing. I
have said that it was physically challenging for someone my age however I found
a strength in me that I didn’t know I had.

It was a unique combination of psychology and spirituality. A powerful soulful
experience, of depth. A nurturing safe experience of being held, supported and
moved.
